She's absolutely right! My mom moved to the South loop in 07 and has been there since. shyt has been gettin real sketchy over the last few years. When I heard they shot up the shrine and another spot off Michigan and cermak I knew it was going downhill. Plus they are sticking folks up a lot late at night around Prarie and 18th. So it ain't as sweet as it used to be.
This is absolutely correct. Chicago has always been liberal but as soon as Rahm came in he been hell bent on fukking up CPS. They closing all the schools on the south and west sides. Less than 10% of municipal Construction jobs go to brothas and sistas, plus Rahm and Rauner are buddy buddy when it comes to these private charter schools that are popping up all over the place in our neighborhoods. Springfield hasn't passed a budget since Rauner has been in office for God's sake.
That means money for mental health care is gone, money for the homeless is gone, money for after school programs are out the window, and on top of that, they refuse to change the gun laws after constant pleas from the Cook county sheriff Tom Dart and CPD Chief of police Eddie Johnson. The main thing I was hoping Obama would have done was at least make more money available for black folks to start their own businesses because there ain't no jobs for us, especially for these young kids who are at risk.
But black folks gotta take responsibility too and watch ya damn kids. We gotta stop letting these white folks come into our neighborhoods trying to trick our old folks out of their homes. And they use black people to do it! We gotta start attending beat meetings held by the police so we know which cops are patrolling our blocks and give them information when we know shyts poppin off. Yes, snitching
if we stand firm and wake up to what they trying to do to us then we won't need the Feds and then they can gentrify all they want. We'll still be there with our properties because I for sure ain't selling my shyt
