Not kidding, I knew a Civil Engineer who worked at Hyperloop. Whenever we'd catch each other for lunch at a local restaurant in the area they let me know what they were up to.

Dude was 100% convinced they were going to do something legit and was trying to get me to join but I hated the non-remote work (and this was when everyone was working remote). So much time and talent wasted.

I Think he is more like an avatar for the rest of Big Tech. I more so see it as they will all eat and he is the fall guy if anything flops if that makes sense.
