It's a stupid right wing talking point. It's a solution to a problem that never existed which is voter fraud. In that map from the right wing Twitter account that guy posted those Republican/Purple controlled states use Voter ID laws to prevent lower income people from voting because IDs cost money. There's 10s of millions of eligible voters without ID that can't vote in these states.

Let me put it in layman's so your dumbass can understand:

If y-kid and x-kid are both accused of starting a fire, but y-kid was the only one who was playing with matches prior, it's only natural for folks to think y-kid was the one who started the fire. There's no legitimate cause for concern that x-kid did, because they didn't have any materials that could start a fire.

In this analogy, y-kid is Trump/Conservatives and x-kid is the Democrats.

There's no proof that either kid started a fire, but it's reasonable (or at the very least, natural) for one to suspect y-kid did it because they were the one with the matches.
