I think it's good for black americans to assert their needs, it can't be denied that immigrants have been used as a reserve labor force to drive up competition and depress wages for domestic black americans. The level of celebration in here is pretty disgusting, especially since it won't result in any material benefits for black americans. Immigrants are people just like anyone else who have mostly suffered under white supremacy.


They need to shut down illegal immigration, make legal immigration easier and improve labor standards and pay across the board. All of this is just theater to keep stupid people happy. The big agribusiness are still hiring them and they will still come, no matter what do you on the border or how many people you lock up and treat terribly. Once you make it impossible for companies to undercut the domestic workforce, you'll see rising tides for us all.

There are people in here actively celebrating ICE putting people into detention, knowing what ICE does to people in their custody (Including black people from Haiti, Jamaica, etc..). I'm not criticizing because I understand the pain black people have been through in this country.
