Under normal circumstances (2 candidates who both make a bunch of empty promises but will likely just maintain the status quo) the idea of withholding votes for legitimate tangibles is 100 percent logical, regardless of what a lot of the low comprehension folks on here say

But when you have one candidate who is looking to maintain the status quo, and another looking to reverse decisions that were supposed to address racial inequalities from almost 60 years ago, the candidate keeping things the same is actually offering something tangible

There isn't anyone radical/progressive enough (at least not anyone who could get support from the majority) to reverse the damage that trump would like to do to black people and poor people next term. At least not over a 4 or 8 year period.

I see where you are coming from but I don't think you understand the dire place black folks are really in right now. Hispanics and Asians do not identify with our plight against racism and want things like affirmative action to be dismantled. Most of the legislative gains to address racial injustice directly tailored for black people will go away even if we vote Democratic because of the changing demographics. The next decade might be our last stand in the fight to not become a permanent underclass. We have to be strategic.
