There are multiple class levels in America and they all need to have security just like the rest of us. Who the fukk you think is creating everything you put your hands on in your daily lives.

They just can't accept the truth.

What is Trump's plan for the real problem of unemployment that's about to ravage the low skilled workforce?

Man, this is a serious fckin issue. What, poor people across the globe are going to stop eating because they were relying on uber for ends meet but were completely replaced by automated cars in 2027?

:mjcry:

The shyt is right around the corner and folks are focused on the wrong thing. Put your eggs in more than one basket. Make sure that one of those eggs is real estate. It can't be replaced. People will need a house to live in even after we reach Jetson level technology. Stop marching for $15 an hour minimum wage and focus on job training for some task that can't be replaced so easily. Stop discussing 700 jobs here or there that were saved and focus on what the masses will do when their technical or non technical jobs have been automated...

:sadcam:

Factory job? :pachaha:they got robots for that. Those 700 jobs probably are based on computerizing or other shyt that has nothing to do with building the car directly.

Trump's manufacturing jobs stance is based on bad intel. We've been losing these jobs mostly to robots, not to crappy trade deals. The decline started well before NAFTA. Was Bill Clinton in office in 2000 when the line took a nose dive???:

:patrice:. It's a false narrative that excites the ignorant. "Dang on chiinks and then demonrats keep shipping our jobs to China and trump is gonna do something about it gosh darn!"

:martin: An estimated 88% of jobs were lost due to automation. He's using his fingers to stop a dam.

  1. The U.S. has lost 5 million factory jobs since 2000. And trade has indeed claimed production jobs – in particular when China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001. Nevertheless, there was no downturn in U.S. manufacturingoutput. As a matter of fact, U.S. production has been growing over the last decades. From 2006 to 2013, “manufacturing grew by 17.6%, or at roughly 2.2% per year,” according to a report fromBall State University. The study reports as well that trade accounted for 13% of the lost U.S. factory jobs, but 88% of the jobs were taken by robots and other factors at home.

If he was preparing Americans for poverty and retraining as the robots consume most of their jobs I'd be all for it.

EFFICIENCY ALSO PLAYS A REAL BIG ROLE. THE AUTOMAKERS HAVE TRIMMED A LOT OF FAT OUT OF THEIR PRODUCT LINES. ALL OF FORDS CARS ARE MADE ON 5 CORE PLATFORMS. THEY COULD MAKE ALL OF THEIR CARS IN 7 PLANTS RUNNING AROUND THE CLOCK IF THEY REALLY HAD TO.

DON'T DOWNPLAY THE AUTOMAKERS SHIPPING JOBS OVERSEAS BECAUSE IT DID HAPPEN. FORD OPENED PLANTS ALL OVER THE WORLD TO SUPPORT THEIR GLOBAL FORD ONE PLAN. THE FUSION/MONDEO HAS MOVED INTO NEW MARKETS. THE MUSTANG JUST GOT INTRODUCED TO THE CHINA MARKET. SOME OF THESE CARS CANNOT NOT BE MADE HERE AND SHIPPED. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO MEET SOME COMPANIES IMPORT LAWS. CHINA HAS A VERY LOW MILEAGE REQUIREMENT FOR SELLING NEW CARS. SHIPPING A CAR OVERSEAS WITH LESS THAN 100 MILES IS A CHALLENGE IN ITSELF. THE CAR HITS THE CHINESE DOCK WITH 100ISH MILES. CHINA ONLY ALLOWS FOR 200 MILES BEFORE THE CAR HAS TO BE SOLD AS USED. ON TOP OF THAT, CHINA TAXES IMPORTS ON USED CARS HIGHER THAN NEW CARS. CHINA'S INFRASTRUCTURE IS A CHALLENGE SO THEY WERE LOOKING AT A CHINA PLANT BUT I GUESS THEY FIGURED IT OUT. IT'S A GAME COUNTRIES PAY IN ORDER TO GET YOU TO INVEST IN THEIR ECONOMY IF YOU WANT TO SELL THERE. ALL THE AUTOMAKERS FACE THESE SAME CHALLENGES.

FORD JUST CLOSED UP AUSTRALIA MANUFACTURING ALSO DUE TO LABOR WAGE INCREASES(COAL MINING). THE FALCON AND FORD'S YUTE(CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE CAR) HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED AS A RESULT.

ROBOTS CAME IN BEFORE NAFTA BUT THEY REALLY WERE IN AN ASSISTANT CAPACITY OR DOING JOBS THAT WERE DEEMED DANGEROUS. TOO MANY DEATHS/ACCIDENTS WERE FORCING THEIR HANDS HERE. EVEN TODAY THERE AREN'T THAT MANY ROBOTS THAT TOOK ASSEMBLY JOBS. THE LURE FOR ROBOTS IS THEY DON'T NEED BREAKS OR DOWNTIME BUT THE REALITY IS, THEY DO. THEY NEED MAINTENANCE AND THEY DO BREAK. ON TOP OF THAT, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REDUCED TO THE WORKLOAD OF HUMANS. THEY CAN WORK 24HRS STRAIGHT BUT IF THE HUMANS ARE ONLY WORKING 1 SHIFT THEN THE ROBOTS ARE STILL WORKING 8-10 HRS. ROBOTS WILL NEVER OVER UNLESS THEY CAN RUN THE WHOLE PLANT.

EVERYBODY HAS THEIR EYE ON THE GIGAFACTORY TESLA IS BUILDING. IF IT PROVES TO BE A SUCCESS THERE COULD BE A PROBLEM FOR LABOR JOBS IN ALL MARKETS. I THINK THAT IS WHY TESLA HAS SUCH A HARD WAY WITH PROGRESS SOMETIMES.

The fact that he's generating jobs and not in office yet is a good thing...I still think his foreign policy will be terrible

KEEPING OUR JOBS AND FOREIGN POLICY DON'T MIX AT THIS POINT IN THE GAME FOR THE US. IN ORDER FOR GLOBALIZATION TO WORK WE HAVE TO GIVE UP MUCH MORE IN ORDER TO BALANCE THINGS OUT. WE DON'T WANT TO GIVE UP MUCH MORE. OUR PROBLEM IS WE CREATED CONFLICTS IN OTHER COUNTRIES TO PUSH THIS GLOBALIZATION INITIATIVE FORWARD. IF IT DOESN'T SUCCEED WE WON'T HAVE THE ECONOMIC DEPENDENCY TO KEEP THE PEACE. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT KEEPS THE US AND CHINA FROM WAR IS OUR DEPENDENCY ON EACH OTHER ECONOMICALLY.

The death of the manufacturing business ( and other industries as well) started with the elimination of unions and worker protection rights..NAFTA just put some icing on the F the middle class cake

There is literally nothing bad about this. Keep it up and let's see what happens once we get past the "setting up the government" stage that takes months and will probably take longer due to the democrats potentially attempting to make this transition as hard as possible.

Wanting Trump to fail at the economic aspect of politics just because him and his supporters say mean things just isn't a good tradeoff for me. I hope he keeps the pressure on.
