Not really, that's a right wing talking point. Raise or eliminate the payroll tax cap and social security is solvent long term. In terms of Medicare I'm not concerned short term. Long term the solution is going to have to be a matter of priority. On the right, the argument is that we simply don't have money to sustain it...while we magically have the money to sustain endless tax cuts and endless expansions of military spending. Which is it?
