I'd imagine there are too many republican congressmen in those areas demanding aid for this alleged plot to sustain itself. The house is currently on recess. They come back in a couple weeks, at which point something will be passed I'm sure. My issue is that given the severity of what's going on, the House should be called back to session right now as an emergency. Especially with Florida on the brink of getting fukked. FEMA has the resources to do it's job right now but we're gonna be talking about a federal response across 3-4 states soon.
