Playing this beautifully.. she knows the Republicans want a quick sham trial.. holding up the articles will force them to make concessions or risk the Democrats holding the articles well into the summer with a trial starting and finishing right before the election.. it will make the Republicans in the Senate defend the president which will be terrible optics right before 2020.. Republicans will have no choice but to concede and allow witnesses/evidence.
