Trump IMPEACHED by the US House; US Senate Trial Allows No New Witnesses & Acquits Trump

Trump is the type that would wipe his ass with the constitution on national TV soon as he's not convicted in the Senate. Impeachment does nothing to him if he's going to stay in office. He's not like other Presidents who would be harmed politically by impeachment. He will walk out fine, gloat and campaign on an attempted "coup".

I personally don’t like to set precedents that impeachable acts go unaddressed for future presidents. But do you.

The idea that the impeachment process rests on a possible outcome of the Senate trial is utterly stupid. It's the equivalent of, we're not going to arrest, charge and indict this person for murder because a jury of his peers may decide to not convict.

Stupid and shows signs of overall weakness. "Who cares what the Dems do to hold him accountable, Republicans wont remove him". Soft ass mofos. Let Republicans run on not impeaching a lawless president and having 200+ bills passed by the House that would benefit most Americans being trashed by Mitch. Republicans literally have no accomplishments other than the judges that they appointed (most of the them not even qualified). The Senate won't even pass VAWA. LITERALLY, everyone in this thread acknowledges that the Senate won't convict him or their is a chance they won't. The issue is, what should the Democrats do about Trump if impeachment is a waste of time because Republicans will stand by him? NONE OF YOU MOFOS who come in here whining about this shyt ever answers that question. Take impeachment off the table. Lets hear your remedy to Trump's presidency....

Right now you couldn't get 67/100 Senators to vote to have a sunny day. It would be a 47/53 partisan vote and shyt.

Dems should move forward with impeachment, but they need to make it clear to voters that it won't pass the Senate because Republicans are blindly loyal to Trump. No point pretending otherwise and getting anybody's hopes up.


If I was the Dems I'd be telling voters in advance to draw their own conclusions and not take the Senate vote seriously. Trump will claim exoneration regardless so they might as well do what they can to kill that talking point in advance.

Agreed. Democrats need better messaging. They need to explain that being impeached doesn't automatically mean you are removed. Its up to the Senate to remove you. Put the weight of it on the Republican Senate. I dont agree that they should be telling people it won't pass the Senate. Just say its the Republican led Senate job to hold a trial, we gave them more than enough evidence, as displayed through public hearings for all to see. Take out television ads with clips from the most explosive parts of testimony. End it with saying....we just sent it to the Senate. If you agree the president broke the law/violated the Constitution, call your Senator. Let the chips fall where they may.
