I think your underestimating what innocent and guilty mean in public perception.

OJ was found not guilty but the public didn’t believe it.

The whole reason the Hunter Biden thing hasn’t taken hold the way Benghazi did is because at the end of the day people like Biden. Everyone hated Hillary to some degree so conspiracies just fed into it.

Trump’s trial in the Senate is basically going to come down to whether he should be punished for a crime. That’s a way different mindset than innocent or guilty. He’s going to be closer to OJ going into 2020.

You forget that OJ was a black man. A rich black man who fukked white women. A lot of white people hated his ass just off that alone. Trump is never going to get the OJ treatment by the general white public.

I just don't see this happening. I have a much more pessimistic view when it comes to voters. It is perceived that the economy is booming, jobs are coming back to America and the stock market is soaring. It's all about optics, which is why Trump has been able to swindle so many people.

You are off base on that front. The average person isn't seeing the supposed booming economy or jobs coming back help them in tangible ways. That same person slash voter also isn't seeing much from the stock market either.
