Yet they aren’t working at Mickey d’s, per your words. You are saying they are above 150k management positions at fast food restaurants. They walking a fukking dog instead of working at McDonald’s right? Good luck

Well, prepare for the backlash that could kill you . :coffee:

Michelle Wu just bent the knee. :lolbron: Nasty work.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said she never intended to pick a fight with federal officials in the incoming Trump administration while firmly reiterating the city’s intent to resist mass deportation plans.
She lucky those white boys didn't set her up or someone in her family . She's playing with her freedom

i'm trying to see what studies he looking at that 6/10 black people are harmed by illegals

my whole family black, not once have we ever spoke how these sinister Mexicans are harming us

Maybe its different up north :manny:
your family isnt 40 million Black people. which means your family experience doesn't represent the whole of Black people, past present or future.

Black people used to be the ones working construction, doing HVAC and electrician and plumbing jobs, and on state and federal building projects (road construction and maintenance crews, etc.). Basically the "trades" that Black people have turned to championing these last couple years. Those were good, middle class wage paying jobs, many of them union. That was the reason the mexicans were brought in such large numbers. Today you'll have a hard time finding Blacks doing this work in any appreciable numbers.

when trump said "Black jobs" he mostly meant the trades, and everyone who knew just a little relatively recent Black history, and wasn't stupid or being led by emotion like a woman knew that.

That's what the dems were suing off of for many of the states that tried to enforce immigration laws. Its the perview of the federal government.

“Slave wages” drivel when you can easily make a nice living just by doing some basic work. Gen z just entitled and lazy. Want to start out their careers on third base rather than putting in some work, They ain’t bucking any system. Let me know when these morons are 30 how it worked out.

that's true. the system may adjust and make a concession - $20 hr to work fast food - but will make a counter adjustment to nullify it. So sure, you may get more to work at mcdonald's, but you still can't pay rent anywhere halfway decent because rents have also gone up to a point that outpaces that $20 hr.

i saw a documentary years ago that talked about the jfk/rfk/mlk relationships and that era as a whole. it talked about the social unrest and demonstrations over a number of issues - vietnam war, race, labor rights, etc. - and how the people had finally reached a point where it looked like they might break through and make some real changes. then, and the doc basically alluded to this, the gov't killed jfk, then mlk and rfk, and restored things to "normal."

i hate i never got the name of it, because basically the message was the system ain't changing, and that system wouldn't hesitate to shed blood if threatened.

Black Self-Sufficiency
"Energy" is such a nebulous and subjective term. It's unclear whether you're talking about enthusiasm, resources, or actions. Anyway, the reality is, Democrats have consistently fought for voting rights, especially against restrictive laws passed by Republican-led state governments with trifectas. They've supported federal legislation, backed grassroots organizations, and even fought voter suppression in court. Your claim ignores this and oversimplifies the issue, creating a false equivalence while overlooking how Republican-led states are the ones actively attacking our voting rights. I know this isn't the conversation, but I felt a need to point this out.
When have Democratic leaders stated they would outright break Federal laws to defend any issue concerning us? When have the Democrats ever state they will round up the Police, a laughable statement though it was made, along with 50k citizens to support a Black issue? So that is the sort of energy I am talking about, the "By Any Means Necessary" energy they seem to be displaying on their willingness to defend illegals against the federal government.

Black people never stopped doing those city or government jobs though

Half my fam work for CTA alone which is union. Do you have any numbers showcasing these jobs are not being pursued by black people? My anecdotal reality is in direct opposition to this, so if I can see some numbers Ill concede the point :manny:
