What will? Just Say No t-shirts?
:usure:
If you're talking about a solution to the US drug epidemic.... it’s deeper than tshirts or drone strikes. lol. You can’t even elaborate on a plausible solution because you would have to spend a serious amount of time actually studying the issue.

Not that I think this is a good idea, but
Cartel leaders dying in drug wars is alot different from entire cartels being wiped out in a drone strike by the us government…
Yes. The cartels all wear uniforms and will be all standing together so a strike can kill the entire cartel. The cartel is full of random civilians who move around like normal citizens breh. Drone strikes on identified targets can only do so much.

So you like drugs coming across the border? I know we hate Trump or whatever but what's the problem with drone strikes on cartels?
You’re drone striking a sovereign country on our border.

Mexico is their own country, like it or not. And a significant amount of our goods are manufactured there. And if they lock up the border over this a lot of states economies in the South - think California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico could come to a standstill.

This may not make sense to you, but in the grand scheme of things this means they will align closer to China and there could be a Cuba 2.0 situation on steroids.

The article says they're weighing strikes and goes on to point out that they have worked with Mexico in the past. I don't assume they will launch strikes without * Mexican consent

Weighing or not. Launch drone strikes on a foreign country and see what happens. Mexico ain’t Palestine and Geopolitics are real.

I have said this a long time. Start killing the bosses, destroying homes, cars and yatchs and the drugs will slow down significantly. Also you got to put a stop to the Chinese who are making all the precourser chemicals. oh and the corrupt mexican polititians who enable all the cartels.

First thing to pop into my head is civilian casualties and public backlash in Mexico.

Secondly, listen... If the U.S. was a person it would be a dope fiend who gets their shyt from their next door neighbor. There is clearly a really high demand from all walks of life in the U.S. and there is no end in sight. Drone strikes on cartels will create temporary power vacuums that will most likely be filled through violent means.

This might be an unpopular opinion but why not just legalize drugs and have them regulated and taxed like alcohol. You want some coke, MDMA, LSD, fent? Cool, go to the state sanctioned distribution center and get your shyt. That would solve a bunch of problems in the U.S. Much less of our people in prison, less police needed and I'm sure it would create jobs with newly legal industries.

Production for these newly legalized products is where the U.S. would run into problems because the cartels are the means of production.

This is all for show.

There’s a lot of counterintuitive facts out about the war on drugs, and politicians rely on the masses not knowing them

Ie taking down the top cartel would actually make things worse, bc it’d just create an empty void and fighting by smaller less organized groups, who are more reckless and ruthless. Think shattering a big piece of glass …. now you have 1000 smaller jagged unpredictable pieces of glass

Or how statistically the more drugs they seize is actually just a sign that more drugs are coming over.

They’d be better off addressing demand reduction from the population and treatment, but that’s not flashy politically so it won’t happen

I am all for legalizing natural drugs like MJ and Mushrooms and perhaps MDMA (yes I know MDMA is synthetic, but its doesn't cause that much damage), but not the harder stuff, especially fent. That's where the real damage comes in. Focus on the ones that do the most damage like fent and meth and heroin.

Whatever is illegal will became black market. That is inevitably going to lead to violence and people in prison. 🥴 :hula: :bustback:
