True or False: The Thing(1982) is better than Alien(1979)

When it comes down to these 2 movies most people will probably say Alien but I like The Thing a lot more and I think it's a better movie


Alien was obviously great too but I just gotta give the edge to The Thing. What y'all think???

Been sick and watched Alien last night as a matter of fact. The set design and just overall world building is something to behold. I give the slight edge to Alien.

I still go with Alien, however, I think The Thing is better than it gets credit for beyond the legendary practical effects. It's underrated as a film. I still don't think it's quite on par with Alien, but I don't think it's more than a slight notch or two below.
