True Life: I got a job in Obama's economy

Hey you know what?

I come from a poor family with a drug dealing father, and I lived in a poor area controlled by gangs, drugs and crime. I'm also an African American at least on paper. I was an at risk youth that was involved in gangs and drug dealing as teenager, and I passed through high school with Ds and Cs.

I turned my life around went to community college, worked full time, and eventually got master's degree.

I beat the odds my entire life. I don't think my accomplishments are modest at all.

If anything, I am a ray hope to all the down-trodden kids in my hometown, a completely fukked up city that is completely hopeless. I mean seriously, at all these pre-interview parties. I am never the oldest person at these things, but I am almost always THE ONLY PERSON OF BLACK descent. I represent the Blacks and Browns (statistically black, and visually hispanic to most people). I always put my best foot forward and represent the NAM (non asian minorities) with dignity and honor.

Take away the Trollish nature of this thread think about that for minute.

I'm not an inspiration to black kids because I know they can't related to me. I understand that.

I'll be in management by the time my cousin (black cousin) finishes up her time a UC Berkeley. I'll make damn sure she get's a good job with us if she needs. no Under-employment for her.

When I'm at the career fairs, i'm going to be looking for Blacks, hispanics, cambodians, somaons. I'm going to do my part. Can't really do that at my current job because of the low turn-over.

it's like FUK you're almost there and if your attitude about both yourself and your accomplishments and really your views on the people you're trying to rep were different you'd get daps on your accomplishments.

Your actions would appear noble were not they founded in hate and a myopic view on human suffering.
