If you cant go anywhere and hear music that is familiar to you without shaking ur ass its a problem. Whether ur twerking, by yourself, in a mirror against somone or up against a WALL.
The same with the people that twerk on coffins at funerals. Carry yourself better than that.
Ppl tryna pass onus of their own behaviour onto someone who has no control over how YOU behave and carry YOURSELF.

Those people exist no matter what, it’s on the owner to properly communicate through his advertising spaces and ambiance set in the establishment as to what kind of restaurant it’s going to be. Hiring a DJ and playing throw that ass in a circle while selling liquor is purposely bringing a problem to his doorstep without being able to handle it. That’s on the owner, and fixing that is on him. We’ll see if yelling and going viral is a better and easier way than changing the playlist.

This. And he should've been more respectful about it. All respects gets lost once you start cussing at folks. "Get the fukk out of my restaurant" is just as ratchet as the women twerking. He was doing good til the end. I get that he was angry, but you still gotta be professional. Cuz on the flip side you could also say that he wouldn't talk to white patrons that way. All in all everyone could do better in this video
Taxing on the cost of food and having a dress code doesn’t make a place “upscale”. You also can’t play trap music, be slow on service, compensating with alcohol and drugs and expect “class”. shyt was already ratchet from the jump. Play jazz music, hire more people and get yall shyt together.

Scrolling through the IG for the restaurant, it appears the owner has been trying to set the tone for weeks.
Enforcing a dress code and other things. He probably saw it bending toward ratchet and wanted to get in front of it.
Problem for him is that, when you are vying for the Black dollar in 2020, you are largely vying for the ratchet & hood mindset that comes with it since it’s the current leaning of the culture.
A purely upscale Black restaurant wouldn’t do as well since it doesn’t appeal to the cultural tastes of contemporary Black people.
Those are just the facts.

It should never be unacceptable to twerk on a table at a restaurant. Regardless of music, a restaurant that has table service, or food that requires more than one hand to eat or utensils or cutlery should not have anyone shaking their ass over my food at anytime.
Is there a separate dance area, if you twerk and knock my wine off the table now what; do I get up and start twerking with you?
The restaurant is not responsible for peoples behaviour. Has society gone that far we have to put up a no twerking sign? And when you do ppl are gonna be bawling about discrimination, ppl are responsible for themselves.
