First of all it wasn’t a upscale establishment they were playing twerk music and did you see the flyer. And my mom and grand mom wouldn’t care because they know how to mind their business but if they did they would simply leave

ya mama and grandma sound like sorry ass bytches from your description, ho ass nikka

:russ: but he’s playing trap music and throwing Hennessy and weed all in the food. :mindblown: Don’t piss on me and call it rain. Clothing doesn’t dictate behavior, I’m sorry. I wouldn’t even care if he had a no twerking rule, but keep the atmosphere in line with that.

First of all, as I've said, weed is HIGHLY illegal in Texas. Ain't no black man of all ppl, running around with weed in a restaurant. Even cbd is limited somewhat down here. Why would you even believe that? :what:

Also, do you realize literally a zillion restaurants cook with alcohol in their food? It's a culinary art. Wine or beer, tequila, whiskey burgers etc. So who cares if Hennessey is used, it's no different

lol. You know me and how I get down:mjgrin::lolbron:
I only go to prix fixe restaurants to avoid these types of issues
:mjpls:

most places that I frequent you have to be dressed up- VIP, call for a table or reserve days in advance type of places.
:mjpls:
That’s how I am as far as that goes - deadass.

No but I get it- he wants a sense of class and decorum in his establishment. I can’t stunt on dude for that. I’m the type to hear people talking too loud on their cell phones while dining and will politely tell them to stfu
:dahell:

This is why I don’t do crowded or busy restaurants during peak times - my friends and I will hit up a late night spot, quiet, dimly lit and just chill. Like those places that look designer living rooms. If i was out with my kids - I would definitely have an issue with the twerking. I think what’s lacking is a respect for other people’s spaces, you know? There’s this spot in Maryland - I luv it @Sankofa Alwayz knows what I’m talking about - I forgot the name.

luv my sistren @sanityovar8ted and @Rawtid , dont take my comment as a slight against your comments. I respect both of your post positions. I know hanging out with @sanityovar8ted and Rawtid in any setting would be a trip.
:damn::laff::laff:
I'm not upset with u sis....there is no social distancing....too cramped, tables too close together....all I see is COVID

I WENT TO GENGHIS GRILL AND THERE WERE 2 EMPTY TABLES IN EACH DIRECTION BETWEEN TABLES

I treat black business owners with good prices and great reputation as "upscale" and deserving of my support.

No one would dare act like this to a non black owner of this spot. :mjpls:
A non black owner wouldn’t play club music in an upscale spot either nor berate the entire restaurant. Y’all think white women don’t “misbehave” at dinner? If they had rhythm they would twerk, but they don’t so they get loud and say foul shyt. Get these honkies off a pedestal.

I'm not sure how or why people place these white folks on a pedestal...they do all kind of bullshyt in food spots and don't get this kind of flack...Dude legit is trying to fuse the hood club with good food and alcohol but doesn't expect any fukkery? And his core customer base is generally female and this is how he reacts towards them? Dude had a genius idea if it was me I'd have it turnt like a strip club some nights.

If he wants the saditty atmosphere he needs to change the music and ambiance.

He handled that exactly how he should have. It's his damn place and it wasn't the 1st time they were addressed about it. He kept it all the way funky. That shyt ain't cute. Spoke to them like their damn daddy would. I guarantee you they won't do that shyt again though. :salute:

When twerk music is on, you’re going to get twerking. You create a club type atmosphere, you get club behavior. Twerking itself being disrespectful is another conversation. It’s a dance, the music being played fit the dance.

No explicit words, but they playing the explicit versions of trap/stripper songs :dahell:

The decor looks like a high school cafeteria with better chairs and this nikka got all them rules. :mjlol:

Somebody mentioned it earlier, but dude has to work on his branding. Like he wants an upscale vibe, but presents a chill living room trap kitchen product. :snoop:
:gucci:

That's expensive. Maybe he's trying to save money to upgrade the space at some point in the future. We should be supporting him so the business can grow and he can further develop his brand. Other races have no issue supporting young businesses. This is a big part of what holds a lot of black entrepreneurs back-- the idea that everything has to be perfect. Because they constantly encounter crabs like you shytting on it because it's not Maestro's or Boa from day one.
