Yo for real Kevin spacey, Walter, Cole, Hannibal. They kill these parts. I thought those car commercial were strange, but now I get it. Episode 6 Cole got thinking this is a Hannibal type dude.

the internet hyping it to be more than it was ruined it... that being said, without the internet i wouldn't have been anywhere near as insterested b/c all the wild speculation and theories is what made the show a must watch. double edged sword.

It was the way it played out
Not the ending but the lead up to it was just nonsense

Nah, the first season is still and I think the only reason True Detective is not as much discussed is because of the format. The first season story is completely done, so there's little left to debate as people wait for the new season/story. The same can be said for Fargo which is another great show with basically nothing to discuss in between seasons.

binged watched this over the weekend, as I missed out earlier on and never had the time to start watching it.

first 5 episodes are as high quality tv show as anything tbh. kinda tails off in the end after everything we see starts being in present, but still great.

acting and directing are grade A, and the 'atmosphere' is amazing.
