Supposed to be 10Will the future Seasons all be 8 episodes?
im at some of the suggestions for next season's actors, mel gibson, antonio banderas, denzel, tom hanks..... jesus this forum is stuck in the 90s
The dudes who were in here coming up with half assed theories and worshipping Rust as some type of philosophical superhero ruined it for yourselves.
I don't think Errol's dad was dead. Didn't he say "You'll keep for about another day..." he had been torturing him? Maybe I perceived that scene wrong.wait....Sam Tuttle can't be Errols dad. Erolls dad was dead in the guest house with a zipper on his mouth. how again are they related to the tuttles exactly? And his GF was his Aunt too?
All those people are big stars and would be massive gets for HBO.
The real reason why suggestions like that are ridiculous is that names like that are likely too big for this kind of programming. Even with as critically acclaimed as this program is, movie stars aren't going to be looking to television.
Out of those people listed...Mel Gibson might be the only one that it would be worth taking a chance on this. He legit needs a "come back" and something like this would work out well for him (Of course, I doubt that HBO would even want to take the chance on him, which is another matter altogether).
Denzel? Tom Hanks? They get 10's of millions for work on the big screen....they're not going to leave that to work for cheap on an HBO program for 6 months.
MM and WH are executive producers, they had a lot invested in launching this program. But I'd be surprised if they could even find actors of their caliber again (Especially now that MM has that Oscar).
My guess is that from here on out, they mine for people that are talented but maybe just a little obscure, or maybe they look through past HBO actors (If James Gandolfini was still alive, he probably woulda been perfect for this....)
People expecting Will Smith and Robert Downey Jr....
Doing a television series like this might be looked at by actors as the "new" going Broadway, especially after all of the accolades MM and WH will/have gotten for this series.Television isn't looked down as a career killer any more.Stars such as Denzel,James Franco, Bradley Cooper are doing stage work currently. It's not far fetched for an actor of that caliber to decide they rather do a series like this rather than do a revival of "Death of a Salesman" or some shyt.
