couple things troubling me. Dora Lange's mother seems super religious... statues in the house.. broke out into prayer when she got her "migraine". her troubled daughter finds a church yet the religious mother doesn't ask where this church is that saved her daughter? doesn't know anything about it... and when she is questioned about it she gets suddenly stricken with a "migraine". she knows something is wrong with her daughter at an early age but she appears to blame it on the father the way she is quick to throw out there what kind of a father doesn't want to bathe their daughter. father is dead can't even defend himself it was probably the twisted church the mother attended got her daughter all fukked up in the head. the moms was doped up on meds probably all her life can't tell up from down the way she has prescrips all over the house. Dora Lange's friend at the tire shop also says she doesn't know where this church is but she has black stars tatted all down the side of her neck. those bytches know something. Dora was "chum in the water" as Rust put it. easy prey to get the sharks in a frenzy...

We all know you were the Breaking Bad guru, and we've all heard you speak (correctly) out of both sides that this show can't be compared to a show with 5-6 full bulletproof seasons...BUT also that this show is obviously just about perfect after 5 episodes.
In terms of all the research that can be done behind the scenes, and the Easter eggs, hidden gems, fan interactivity, etc, how do you rank TD among BrBa, Lost, and other shows in the same capacity? I realize you only have like 5 eps to go off of. I just wanted to know your thoughts.

This is a good question.
Discussing this show is fun, and there is obvious motifs tied to late 18th/early 19th century literature like Bierce, Chambers, and Lovecraft.
However, it's hard to say whether this show is "Lost" or "Breaking Bad" when it comes to the question you're asking.
"Lost" had a ton of shyt you could research, but ultimately it was window dressing that had nothing to do with anything.
"BB" actually tied (or at least tried to tie) most of the easter eggs into what was going on. Be it the chess board in "Ozymandias" or more overt stuff like the Lily of the Valley in "End Times".
I can't really rank this show because so far the fans have done all the heavy lifting. We don't even know if there is anything besides what fans came up with. I don't expect it to go full Lovecraft but for me to put it anywhere near the "BB" spectrum of easter eggs I'm gonna need something more than vague references to "The King In Yellow" and "An Inhabitant of Carcosa".
If all of this is speculation doesn't lead anywhere it won't affect the over-all ranking of the show, but I will be severely disappointed. Given Nic Pizzolatto's penchant for name-dropping Lovecraft, I'm leaning more towards this not just being window dressing though.
