Rapper Troy Ave indicted in shooting spree at T.I. concert at Irving Plaza

The Brooklyn-bred performer - whose real name is Roland Collins, 33 - did not appear when the case was called in Manhattan Criminal Court mid-morning.

But prosecutor Christine Keenan informed the court that a grand jury had voted in the high-profile matter.

"At this time I am filing a certificate of affirmative grand jury action with the court," Keenan said.

The charges are still sealed so it was not yet clear if his charges were upgraded.

Collins was arrested on attempted murder and weapons possession charges. He was arraigned and ordered held without bail on Memorial Day.

Keenan also asked a judge to order that Collins submit to providing a DNA sample for use in the investigation.

Collins was arrested on attempted murder and weapons possession charges. He was arraigned and ordered held without bail on Memorial Day.

Keenan also asked a judge to order that Collins submit to providing a DNA sample for use in the investigation.

Lawyer Scott Leemon said Thursday that Collins and McPhatter are both "the victims and it's time for the DA's office to start treating them like victims."

Leemon said witnesses should come forward and contact him at troyaveinfo@leemonlaw.com. He also said Collins has set up a $10,000 scholarship for McPhatter, his longtime pal, at New Utrecht High School which they both attended.

Collins proclaimed his innocence in a jail call freestyle rap made from Rikers Island in which he says he acted in self-defense, that he wrestled a gun away from someone else and fired it back.

"I took the gun from him and turned the tables round like a G," he boasted in the song.

Prosecutors said that all bullets and shell casings recovered from victims and from the scene matched a single weapon found in Collins' van.

Collins will be presented with the indictment at his next court appearance on June 22.
