To all Htown peeps...
Once this is over and we clean up..
Let's try to coordinate a meet up..
I know it's a lot of us but it's good to see you guys are safe..
I think we all need some drank:mjcry:

This is a good idea. I think an attempt was made previously, but a venue could not be agreed upon.

Everywhere...You never there.
So the mayor didn't encourage evacuations but the Governor said to evacuate...

First off, why wouldn't an official urge folks to evacuate?

Was the mayor concerned about the road network being overwhelmed?

Honestly don't understand why people don't leave... Regardless.

If the forecast is saying this storm is gonna be a doozy... why not leave?

I mean... you see this shyt comin... you see the news...you have the MEANS and RESOURCES and MONEY to leave... to literally drive two counties east? Why not leave regardless? :mindblown:

A lot of the folks being shown aren't elderly aren't dirt poor and aren't disabled... they appear to be able bodied homeowners.

...doesn't seem like many of the those affected were dirt poor like those in Katrina... It's a tragedy and it's horrible.

But it appears they had the means to leave. these are homeowners, not folks in subsidized housing like in Katrina.

...the language that some media outlets are using, they're trying to make this in to Katrina low key...It's not and shouldn't compare tragedies.

I mean, how does a senior citizen's home not get evacuated... just off GP? :mindblown:
