The storm seeks out areas of lower pressure.

The lowest pressure adjacent area is right over Houston now, so that's why they're predicting the storm to take that funny angle turn and then sit right over West Houston
:lupe: West Houston? I talked to my brother in law earlier today and he said he was straight because he was in West Houston and it doesn't tend to flood there.

It's going to hit land in Corpus and then do a 270 degree turn and then head for the lower pressure area in Houston.

The eye won't be here til Monday night. Barring changing conditions.

West Houston should be good because everything drains into 2 massive reservoirs. We also won't be dealing with a storm surge.

Harvey is now a Category 4 Hurricane with winds of 130 mph.
Steve Austin's homeboy Ted Fowler lives in Rockport and hes riding it out :wtf:

They just said the mayor of Rockport said if anybody plans on riding this out and not evacuating write your name and ss# on your arm with a Sharpie:wow:
