And we're supposedly less than five days from CM Punk coming back before we even talk about Danielson.

Tony Khan is a smart motherfukker.
He’s intentionally leveraging his position as the cool boss/anti-Vince and pulling Vince moves by ensuring his guys always comes out in the end when dealing with other promotions.
Impact wants to put the belt on Brian Myers? Instead of Kenny (at the peak of his reign and character) dropping the title to an impact guy, he drops it to Christian Cage (a former impact guy), who will likely do the job.
New Japan wants to put the US Title on TanaGOATshi? Instead of having Mox do the job, he drops the belt to Archer, who does the job instead.
Instead of crowning El Idolo at the biggest event of the year, he big brothers AAA to get them to hold off (Not like AAA gives a shyt either way, but still).
It’s some brilliant shyt to be able to do that in plain sight, but skate on them VKM charges because he knows exactly who he’s appealing to and that as long as he’s booking the way he is, they won’t care.
(Note: this isn’t an insult/slight. Just noting that he’s doing the smart thing - not necessarily the right thing - in protecting his brand)
