What were they chanting when Phil Brooks left?
Didn't last eh? And they damn didn't chant that $hit like it mattered during the Axel and Shield feuds....and let's not forget what they were chanting when he got dumped at Rumble 14.

They chanted for him in 11/12.. the Axel/Shield feud happened after he held the belt for nearly two years, there was no need to hijack shows for himDidn't last eh? @R=G
Please apologize to Phil the gawd for ever mentioning him in the same light as Hickenbottom, Blandy and Cripple H

And they chanted his name after he left for several months.. Unfortunately I didn't hear them chant for D-Bry's name when WWE shelved him
Plus it might be considered derogatory since Sheamus is from Ireland.
The Cena formula is the Hogan formula. Build up heels for him to knock down and go over. Problem is
1. Cena is overexposed. Hogan barely wrestled on TV. He'd show up and do an interview or something and that'd be it. He only wrestled at house shows, SNME and the PPVs.
2. The midcarders were all over. They had their own story lines and this is something that continued on throughout the Attitude Era. How can Vince Russo, Ed Ferrara and Vince himself book a solid midcard where everyone is over but 22 writers can't differentiate between Ziggler, Owens, Breeze, Cesaro, etc. Just trading wins every week with no build and no payoffs. Absurd.
nxt is allowed to be more interesting because since its technically a developmental promotion, they can pay the talent less while reaping the benefits from merchandising and touring. its kind of like college sports in a way. it also draws business away from indies, either by raiding top talent or through providing a more intimate and affordable show that also happens to be under the wwe banner.
