Yep, and in 2005 they still had some legit stars and upper level guys around. But since then, they've done their damnest to stymie everyone possible, except Cena and (they hopefully think) Reigns
The Cena formula is the Hogan formula. Build up heels for him to knock down and go over. Problem is
1. Cena is overexposed. Hogan barely wrestled on TV. He'd show up and do an interview or something and that'd be it. He only wrestled at house shows, SNME and the PPVs.
2. The midcarders were all over. They had their own story lines and this is something that continued on throughout the Attitude Era. How can Vince Russo, Ed Ferrara and Vince himself book a solid midcard where everyone is over but 22 writers can't differentiate between Ziggler, Owens, Breeze, Cesaro, etc. Just trading wins every week with no build and no payoffs. Absurd.
