Kevin Owens is set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship this Saturday at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, and he’s not mincing words about his disdain for “The American Nightmare.”

During a recent interview with MuscleMan Malcolm, Owens took exception to being compared to the Grinch, stating, “I think there’s a lot more people that understand where I’m coming from than you might think, honestly. I don’t think anybody sees me a Grinch. I take offense to that, sir.”

Owens then proceeded to air his grievances with Rhodes, outlining three specific things that irk him about the champion:

  1. The “Quarterback” Moniker: “He made his own tracksuit, like his own WWE tracksuit with the American Nightmare logo. He had ‘QB’ stitched on the breast, like Quarterback. He’s going around telling people that he was made Quarterback of this era. Nobody is calling him a Quarterback, except for himself. That’s one thing.”
  2. Rhodes’s Lavish Lifestyle: “On television, he talked about how I had a Lamborghini, which I guess that offends him. He owns his own tour bus and has a chauffeur. He has a driveR that drives him around.”
  3. The Bleached Blonde Hair Influence: “The third thing I don’t like about him. He has this bleached blonde hair, which is not his natural color and that’s fine for him. What’s happening is all over America I’ve noticed parents bleaching their children’s hair so that they can look like Cody. You’ll see it every week when he comes out. These parents are shoving their child at Cody and they have the jacket. They have the bleached blonde [hair]. That’s not good these chemicals in your kid’s hair. I think he’s promoting a very unhealthy habit that Americans specifically are putting their kids through…”
Beyond his issues with Rhodes, Owens also discussed his desire to wrestle Shawn Michaels and his past attempts to make the dream match a reality.

When asked about his social media presence, Owens offered a blunt assessment: “Don’t follow me. I have nothing good to say. Social media is terrible…I don’t support it, just go outside.”

We know it's a storyline but these are legit reasons to be annoyed with Cody. It's not that he has that stuff, it's that he tries to lecture you if you have similar stuff. :mjlol:

It ain't been perfect, but I'll give HHH props for his work toward the mid-card/upper card this past year. Guys like Knight, Breakker, Reed, Owens, Priest, and Balor have believable shots at the Rumble that wouldn't be out of left field, even though it's likely going toward a vet this year. :ehh:

I give him no props due to his lack of work towards black talent. :pacspit:

And the abysmal tag division along with the decimation of what should be two upper level heels in Austin Theory & Dom. Neither ain’t did shyt all year and been booked less favorably than fuccking Ludwig Kaiser (Who I like btw).

New Day clearly the hottest tag team in the company with ZERO babyface tag teams for them to actually feud with while the tag titles on both shows been passed around by nothing but bland unover white boys all year. Street Profits would’ve been a perfect feud for them off the turn. They’re probably the most seasoned tag team in the company aside from New Day and the Usos.

At this point im fearing they just gonna go the cheap route and put the Usos back together again :francis:
