all real hiphop fans know how wack Carter 3 is, go look at the carter 3 official thread on sohh. We only liked 4-5 songs off of that joint, the mainstream is what tried to put it as a classic and gave it the Grammy over Nas' ****** album which pissed us off. I have seen the message boards try to claim its dope now but hell nah it ain't. Carter 1 & 2 are his only near classic or classic albums.

I said there is no creativity. Ripping an Em song is not what I would call creative. I'll take the L on the How To Love song because I honestly dont remember it. The amount of times I heard it can be counted on one hand.

Yeah it was some heat that dropped in 08 that got caught in hype from C3

Q.tip's joint
Jeezy's joint
Nas's joint
Game's joint
Scarface's joint

I mean it's crazy how nikkas were hesitant to show Dwayne love when he was on fire...

but people aren't basing it simply off C3 VS C4 anyways, they're basing it off all the works from that era, -- during the C3 times he was still gassing on sooooooooooo much shyt that the mediocre selections included on the retail cd didn't really affect your judgement of his output at the time.
& to be real Carter 3 was still actually pretty good, just not all that it could have been.
(Dedication 3 however kinda did make me think twice cuz that was lazy trash the whole way thru for me.)

whereas now the general arc of all the shyt he's been dropping is LOW. he's had a small number of hot verses spread thinly, but the average is hitting low as fukk these days. And then just looking at just the string of recent projects weighs it down:
'Rebirth' is complete trash. 'We Are Young Money' was disappointing. 'Not A Human Being' was actually decent. But 'Sorry 4 The Wait' is trash. & 'C4' is disappointing again.

I ain't listened to that brand new 'IANAHB Pt 2' just yet, but if that's really the official tape then that tracklist looks pretty disappointing too...

I'm not buying it. C3'2008 wayne was just as average as 2012 post jail Wayne. I can't believe nikkas and their short term memories. I remember when T.wayne set in 4 years ago and nikkas were blindly calling his verses classic. He even got away from the T.Wayne auto tune shyt on C4 and caught more heat for actually spitting.

I also don't like the blind love for one of his foes to knock him off. I'm also a huge Pusha T fan. Its crazy how mad nikkas are just now falling in love with Push to shyt on Wayne. I don't care how bad goulash sounds, or this how crazy this beef gets. Push deserves his credit because he's dope.

Hes also been sending shots Wayne's way for years and nobody fukking cared until now.

shyt is disgusting

to me the biggest difference between wayne now and wayne in 08-c3 era with the punchlines is that back then he threw them in once in a while making it dope, now literally every line is a punchline making his material wack

I've always said "C3" and "C4" were both wack....but "C4" is by far wacker.

that's arguably true. Whereas if all his better recent appearances & leaks & mixtape tracks were on C4, . . . it wouldn't really change the outcome at all.

Weezy was putting out so much shyt that it was a game of averages, -- & his average back then is faaaaaaar higher than his average right now.

ALSO, at least we could blame the drugs on his lazier shyt & autotune messes. Now it just feels obvious that he's not very excited about rapping anymore. It's ok, happens to everybody eventually.

Alright Fredrick! We appreciate the consistency, leave the thread now

fukk outta here.....you make a thread asking "where was the criticism when C3 dropped?"....multiple posters (not just me) come in here and tell you they didn't like that album either, and you come up with bullshyt reasons to ignore that info so you can continue with your faulty ass logic.

Wayne fell off, exactly when he fell off is semantics.

Fred.
