Trey Burke is one of the very few Michigan basketball players that I would have loved to have seen play in Green & White. Kid can play and trying to file the paperwork on him after some summer league games is just stupid.

The sonnings that he repeatedly gave Appling :wow:

It's odd, when you watch Burke at SL, he seemed to be one step behind and far more unathletic than presumed from college. Dennis seemed to be very raw but far more talented without the limitations. Now in the NBA, Burke seems to be what I felt he was out of college and Dennis seems to be even more raw than he was in SL. To the point where Mack gets more tic.

thats good for him he had a good game. i was kinda of hesitant about the pistons drafting him, i wasnt sure with his style of play he would be able to have a long, healthy career, he was always on the floor after he drove to the cup. also had concerns about his size on defense. he is a good competitor so i wish him well

@Regular_P thanks for the rep deduction, anyway my point is why was this this thread bumped when you look at all the numbers, he has played ok at best since he's been back, he's had a couple of nice games, I don't think he will be terrible but because of a couple of solid games doesn't mean he will be great or even good either, again he is shooting 38-39% and is averaging 3 ast per game, again he is a PG. Yeah of course they will play better, Utah got another player back, but again the team is 3-15! all of this reactionary analyzing is for the birds, the thread should not have been made when he was struggling in the summer league and it shouldn't have been bumped after a couple of solid games against teams like Phoenix and Houston with bad perimeter defense. And as a PG I would have been more impressed if he had a couple of 10pt 8ast game, his vision as a PG leaves something to be desired, he had the same issue at Michigan.

The team is 3-1 with him in the starting lineup (all against solid teams) and he's been averaging 17 ppg in those games. The assists will come.

Edit: He's also been taking and making big shots for them down the stretch to seal those wins. He missed the entire preseason and most of training camp too, so his shooting percentage will improve as well.

Already playing better than Rose was this year too. :deadrose:
