He showed lots of flashes as a rookie so this shouldn’t be surprising. But I guess more ppl watch the narratives than the games.
As a Commanders fan in the week 1 game I said Lawrence made all the right reads he just didn’t get the ball accurately to the target. If he cleaned up his accuracy i knew he’d live up to expectations.

We've been spoiled by some very special QBs lately. Got us thinking that every qb picked in the 1st round supposed to be lights out their 1st year, and it doesn't work like that except for very few.

Very few qbs are ready to carry a bad team, or even a good team their 1st few seasons. Tom Brady and Ben...people forget their teams were run heavy with good defenses their 1st 3-4 years. They were just asked to manage and make 1 or 2 good throws a game. Basically given time to grow into good passers.

We call these qbs busts because they're drafted on teams that have no talent, horrible coaching and to top it off bad defenses! Then their coach get fired and these qbs have to learn a new offense every year or every other year.

What these young players need is continuity to get comfortable. I tell people that a major problem is many players only be knowing like 50% of the playbook!!!

I agree but Lawrence was billed as a once in a generation talent. One that the Jets were foolish for messing up their tank job and not getting him. He'll be a good qb but as of now, that hype isn't justified.

:mjlol: I love wrestling but god damn if getting in your wrestling gear to go take pictures with professional athletes always looks hilarious. We'll really know hes taken the leap when he leaves these wrasslers on "read"

He’s already a good qb on his way to being great

He doesn’t even have a true number 1 wr
