You can't convince me that he wasn't fully aware that Lawrence was going to slide before he even went into the action of; there was no player from either team in the vicinity, so as it should be expected now that QBs will pull up if they can't navigate around a screen or run out.

Look at the point when he goes into the motion of initiating the slide -

There's ample enough time for that cat to pull up.

The behind angle even shows him staring right at Lawrence as he cocks his elbow (nobody can even use the excuse he wasn't looking) -

Jags shouldn't have let the game continue until they had that muh'fukka's head on a spike.

Ehh.... I've seen guys like Brian Dawkins, earl thomas, polomalu, etc lead directly with forearm shots to the chest/waist on a consistent basis. It's generally safer than leading with your helmet right?
Trevor Lawrence is 6'6. Look at where that tackler was in relation to the ground. There is no way he is aiming for his chest...unless he was expecting him to be in slide position. Meaning he knew what it was and it was definitely intentional.

Looked at the play a few times. You can’t tell me that Al-Shaair wasn’t looking to knock TL’s block off. Would have been a great hit 10-20 years ago, but the NFL has effectively outlawed head hunting.

Al-Shaair probably played his last down of the season.

That exact slide is made 30 times on sundays and defenders in the same position never blow up a QBs head with their forearm. Stop excusing stupidity.
Trevor lawrence is known to lower his shoulder on defenders. He is horrible at protecting his body...how is a defender supposed to know what his intent is?

It was not a dirty hit. Unfortunate but not dirty.

The defender just happened to launch at the exact same time that the QB started his slide.

This is to protect player safety

Defend your self

Because u get shyt like this

Careers can get ended by leaving yourself open like this
People don't understand that sliding late is risky cause you have a false sense of security. Sometimes it is a dirty hit, sometimes it is a realistically late reaction from defender.

Cats watch shyt in slow motion, and come to the conclusion that if they were in the same position they would be like in the Matrix and think in real time in a slow motion world :snoop:

EHH I THOUGHT IT WOULD
BE WORSE THAN THAT.

DUDE WAS ALREADY DIVING
WHEN HE BEGAN TO SLIDE.
IT WAS A LITTLE LATE BUT NOTHING CRAZY.

IS THAT YOUR TWITTER ACCOUNT?

This was my exact thoughts. Don’t run if you don’t want to get hit.

The overprotective of the QB is garbage

The fans look the worst throwing shyt. They need an Artest to run in the stands
