Props. I'm in buttfukk Florida tho. :dead:

So from your previous post, play money for a single traveler should be around $3k+?

Breh, it ain't nothing to fly from Florida to Cali, stay overnight at one of them hotels next to LAX and then fly from Zipair's terminal in the morning (they almost always have a 10am flight). That would still be cheaper than any business class from Florida to Tokyo, that you can believe lol

And yeah, you just want to be comfortable.

As much as we're talking about money, what isn't being talked about is JUST HOW CHEAP JAPAN ACTUALLY IS. Yes, certain things are expensive, but literally everyday things (food, taking the train, etc) are STUPID cheap.

You wouldn't believe me until you saw this. I took this video last month. Couldn't believe my fukking eyes:

Goods are unbelievably cheap in Japan.

You gonna pay through the nose for nice sized hotels and stuff, but food, drinks, gifts, and everything else??? Nikka. :banderas:

Somehow I got lost after getting food, then it started to rain, phone died and made it back to my room at 6am. Mind you, we left the club after 2am and trains don't open back up until 4:30.

I also learned this the hard way after staying out in Kabukicho all night :mjlol:

At the time, I was over some family members house in Yamato (Kanagawa), and I thought I'd be able to get a train back after partying. Nikka, I ended up staying in a small hotel because them trains was shut down lmaoooooo

I thought Tokyo was a 24h town. Dead ass wrong lol

Now you know them cheetos don't taste the same

:beli:

Food budget is essential. Especially if your hotel is near a nice convenience store. Those late nights when nothing else is open and you pull up

:wow:

Next time I go I want to get a hotel with a kitchen in it.

You right, actually. I preferred these to America's... something about them seemed... healthier :lolbron:

Tasted fresh, and like it had real lemon on em.

But breh, them chips cost over $2 in the states. You not beating a bag of chips for 40 cents. I haven't seen them prices since I was a kid getting chips off the ice cream truck.

They have these in the Tokyo Central Markets here in LA for $2.29, I know because I just went there two days ago to get some rice. I almost took a video again because I was so shocked at the price difference lol

Keio Plaza hotel got a convenience store on the second floor. They had a chicken and egg sammich that I literally could have lived off. Shyt was :noah:

But you know there's a Lawson or 7-11 on every side street in Tokyo. Kyoto too :leon:

The import game is not playing with them prices, that's for sure. I definitely need to head to Kyoto next time out. I enjoyed Tokyo so much I may have wasted an extra day or two there. But I ended up staying in Nagoya and Osaka for a little bit as well.

40 cents is crazy. You have videos of them fruit prices?

I actually did a whole section in my vlog on grocery shopping in various stores in Japan (Yamato, Kanagawa). It's not exactly about the prices, mainly about the variety of food, but you can see some of the prices.

Click play-- I timestamped it for you:

The weather was entirely why I went back in October and left in November. Absolutely incredible weather (if you like cool, fall weather).

Back in May, it was so muggy I could barely breathe, being that we are essentially required to wear masks in public (not really, but if you don't people look at you funny and try to avoid you. There are signs that ask you to wear a mask all around Tokyo).

This time around, breh it was nothing.

And after I posted the vlog, one of my audience members told me they're taking the Gundam down forever, so I'm glad I was able to capture it while it's still up.

From May

:dead:

Either late fall or during the new year sounds best for me. I went during September and it was like a sauna outdoors. Wind not moving. Couldn't believe the heat

:russ:

Sad to see it go, probably won't make it back out there until 2024.

First International trip and Japan of all places?

:mjlol:
It’s what I did. Me and my wife were fine. I made two small fk ups on the train from Narita to Hachiko station but after finding out what I was doing wrong I mastered the subway map and how it functioned in under an hour, it’s really simple and the colors of the railways tell you which direction you’re headed between N/E/S/W

The best sushi we had was actually in a shopping mall in Shibuya (I have to look at my itinerary from 6 years ago to find the name)

The onsen with Fuji apples and having the whole place to myself :noah:

Def see why Onsen isn’t coed because the wife def would’ve had a hole put in her back, that shyt was unbelievably relaxing.

We had Mexican food (made by probably the only Mexicans in the country :mjlol:) in Harajuku at a placed called Chile’s. shyt was a trip being halfway across the world and my wife able to speak Spanish to the staff there, food was good as hell too and very authentic.

I'm planning a short trip, too.

One thing I'm concerned about is standing out, though. I don't like the attention. When I travel to white parts of town, I'm extremely uncomfortable. I'd imagine I'd feel something like that in Japan too, but multiplied by ten.

Still, a visit to Japan is something I want to cross off my bucket list..

Yeah I'd boost it to at least $1500. I'm seeing some people recommend other regions that would require the bullet train, that is already like $200. There's some ways to stretch the dollar but between trying all of the great food, staying at hotels and buying things, money gets eaten up quickly. Because he's American the dollar is stretched a lot better for him due to exchange.

If he's set on going to Japan, it's best he goes. It's a lovely place and the curry alone is worth the flight time.

:noah:

Bring comfortable shoes you can walk in. You'll be walking a lot.

Also, OP if you know you're going to Asia, head to the doctor now and let them know so you can get some shots.
I didn't know Japanese eat curry like that.

If he has a local connect and they're willing to put him up I guess it's cool to knock it off the bucket list but he's trying to do a lot for a little. If he's trying to stay in american sized hotel or Airbnb in Tokyo he's gonna blow his budget right there.

There's a lot of truth to this. I've warned brehs on this board in the past about this, and I always caveat the Japanese girls that chase Brehs (called "burapan") tend to be hoes.

That being said, these "hoes" are SIGNIFICANTLY better than American hoes. Incredibly low maintenance, will feed you constantly (and 99% of them can actually cook), are in shape, will look good deep into their 40s, are feminine and are generally pleasant to be around.

The thing is that they're not hoes because they want to be; they're hoes because brehs run through them because they are EASY AF. Nikkas don't settle with them because there's another sexy one around the corner that doesn't even care that you're fukking her homegirl. Ask me how I know :sas1:

So if you don't mind that she got a few bodies, then you're winning and you're gonna eat. You can go after Japanese girls that don't chase brehs, but your mileage is gonna vary based on your personality and your Japanese language skill. If you can speak even a little Japanese conversationally, you're IN.
exactly the first thing you learn as an ADOS breh is that generally people under 30 have positive opinions of Black people. Everyone likes aspects of ADOS culture so it's easy to meet cool people who are interested in you.

You go to an out of the way place like a small city in say Finland there's people who like hip-hop and you'll probably be the first Black person they ever saw That alone will get you some p*ssy.

That being said no one likes broke people so coming with a grand and staying a short time will be harder to meet someone to date.

That's another thing Dating other than wlecoming commitee chicks that literally is down to fukk just because in any country you visit you will be expected to give her a nice date actually foriegn game is in cultural exchanges the chick is taking you somewhere where you can eat locally not burgers and fries, She'll probably suggest the flyest spot that serves local food that and I fly hotel room or Airbnb usually seals the deal.

But if you're staying in a crowded hostel and eating Ramen your experiences might vary.

Really depends on where you wanna go.

Here's a kicker, vacationing in the states can be way more expensive than a lotter nicer places in Europe. Take Warsaw for instance, it is nicer than 99% of the cities in America but the dollar is worth 500% more than their currency. A hotel in Tampa Bay can run you $150-200 a night but you can get the same quality or better in Poland for $50/night. When I was there I actually felt like I saved money

As a black man :troll: I felt invisible in Japan and I mean that in the best way possible.

In Poland you'll get some looks. I fukked a girl I met at a bar for a week straight every damn day and didn't get to see as much as I should've
