There’s ALWAYS the chance something goes wrong. Theres a long list of MAJOR commercial flight disasters over the years. Sad to say but those deaths have made flying even safer….until the next big disaster which will make flying safer for everyone else.
But think of it this way, the physics is solid, we have a very good understanding of lift and power and aerodynamics. So that won’t be the reason you fall out the sky. Maintenance issues are always a threat, really hoping the ground crew did their job. The chances of failure are extremely low. You drive inches away from another car going 60+ everyday, much more dangerous and life threatening
Unfortunately if something did go wrong on a plane, death may be quick but the experience before death would be one of the most traumatic things imaginable. Body crushing G forces as you plummet and see the horizon getting closer and closer
