Depp needs to take a few steps back and re-evaluate his choices of projects and maybe try to pull a McConaughey with his career. If I was his agent I would steer him towards smaller roles in prestige movies and leads in indie stuff to show the world he can still act (maybe make it known he'd like to be in the next season of True Detective) but keep away from big blockbuster movie roles for a minute.
Right now dude is becoming a bit of a punchline.
