You really thought Hollywood would do a accurate movie about a black socialist deemed terrorist by the US gov't and killed by police?

I'm still at this centering around a snitch in the movement.

I don't mind that. They could still do right by Hampton with this format. A documentary would be more straight forward about Hampton but from a movie-telling a story perspective I can rock with this. There's got to be some intrigue to pull people in plus the Panthers were a high volatility group. That BP documentary 'Vanguards of the Revolution' even hammered the point that the Panthers didn't even vet the people that they allowed to join so double crossing, infiltration, spies, and snitching was in fact a huge issue with them. Just like Spike Lee with Malcolm X some people complained and moaned before the movie dropped about the film was going to show Malcolm's street-hustling days but after it dropped it was a good depiction and worked perfectly from a story telling perspective on some from beginning to end shyt.


-On another note I wondered what Shaka King was up to as of late. That dude is talented. This flick should be fire and I think that Daniel Kaluuya is a good choice.

Fred Hampton had a very distinct dialect. This dude sounds like he's mixing about 3 or 4 different accents. I aint feelin it
