With this Lions victory, the Miami Dolphins have moved into 1st place in the record books

1. Detroit Lions, 31 Seasons (Last Playoff Win: 1991)

After the Cincinnati Bengals ended their 31-season drought with a win over the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2021 wild-card round, the Lions rose to the top of this list. The Lions have lost nine consecutive playoff games, the longest streak in the NFL. Barry Sanders led the Lions in rushing in 1991, as Detroit crushed the Dallas Cowboys 38-6.

2. Miami Dolphins, 23 (2000)

It’s been two decades of mediocrity in South Florida since a Dan Marino-led Dolphins team defeated the Indianapolis Colts 23-17 in overtime in the 2000 postseason.

3. Las Vegas Raiders, 21 (2002)

After defeating the Tennessee Titans in the AFC championship game, the Raiders were once again on the brink of football immortality. But they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl XXXVII and did not return to the postseason until the 2016 season. They lost again in 2021 to the Bengals.

4. Washington Commanders, 18 (2005)

Washington hasn’t won in the playoffs since beating Tampa Bay 17-10 in the 2005 NFC wild-card round. The slide includes three straight losses to the Seattle Seahawks in 2005, 2007 and 2012.

Dan Marino wasnt the QB for the Dolphins in 2000, Jay Fiedler was.

That game was from the 1999 Season Playoffs (which took place in January 2000).

No it was not, fam. It was the 2000 Wild Card. I will never forget it. Lamar Smith ran for 200 yards on the Colts. In the 99 playoffs which took place in Jan 2000, the Dolphins won at the Seahawks before getting destroyed 62-7 at Jacksonville. Last game Marino played and Jimmy Johnson coached. I know what Im talking about.

My mistake, I see what's up.

Putting Marino and 2000 postseason was the confusion. :snoop:

Hutch with two sacks in his first playoff game, @smitty22 @Trav :ahh:

The funny thing is that those sacks were the type that haters would have shat on if we lost, but he balled out beyond that too including pressuring Stafford into multiple bad throws. Against a worse QB (like...next weekend lol) that shyt would definitely result in INTs. We're rolling.

True. That was that overtime game where Lamar went off.

nikka look like a husband that just gambled away the retirement money. I don't care what he did in years prior, having the first Lions win in 30 years on your jacket is a hit to the ego of any coach.

No prob, b. Ppl forget that the NFL considers their seasons the year in which they started, not when they ended. Example, the 85 Bears, 2000 Ravens, 2007 Patriots, 1972 Dolphins. Thats their classification even though the playoffs extend to the next year, it is still for that season.
