If we had a more dynamic offense with Jimmy G and company we wouldn't be talking about trying to run clock with 12 minutes left. The offense was severely handicapped and it's not the only time in my life we've seen that.

The NFC Championship game in the 2011 season. Same issue. The Alex Smith ran offense was never going to score again in that game.

After KC scored and we were only up 3 with 6:06 left, the offense had a brutal three and out (1 run, 2 passes) that took 1:03 minutes off the clock. Mostert gained 5 on 1st down to make it 2nd and 5. This is where I know a lot of y’all wanted to run it and I get it, but running on 2nd and 5 vs a stacked box to get a 1st down was no guarantee. I vividly remember Kittle had a mismatch on a washed Terrell Suggs, so they got the matchup advantage they wanted. Chris Jones just made a great play batting the ball at the line. Then came 3rd and 5 which forced a pass, and the rest is history
At worst is a 3rd & 5 with 40 less seconds on the clock. Just as the 2nd & 9 call. Just those two plays take 1:20 from the clock and again, we were gaining yards regardless of the stacked boxes so running on 2nd down probably gives us a shorter 3rd down and open up the playbook :manny:

Yes, we will agree to disagree on that game :yeshrug:

The SB54 talking points have been done to death and nobody’s gonna change their minds on it at this point

But the chances that we were gonna just run the clock out up 10 in the 4th with 12 minutes left without ever having to throw was slim to none, especially with KC stacking the box with 8-9 guys. At some point, Jimmy was gonna have to make plays to get first downs and he couldn’t get it done when it mattered :manny:

Chiefs D line was starting to really set the edge in the 2nd half too.. disrupted the running game.

I was nervous before the Green Bay game.

I was nervous before the Detroit game…

I am not nervous at all for this game.

I’m hyped.
My guy….this Patrick Mahomes we talking about. All them stats go out the window when it comes to that guy.

Even with their struggling receivers. They still got their shyt together and have made it to the Super Bowl AGAIN. And their defense is lowkey underrated and not to be fukked with.

They are still the kings of the league until somebody knocks that crown off.

Which is why I feel my Niners are the only team that can do it.

Now can we do it?….

:lupe:

And that’s what makes me nervous..

The Jed interview from today was pretty damn interesting. He said the CMC trade was mostly pushed by Lynch and him, and that both had to convince Kyle, who thought the Panthers were asking too much for a running back :leon: Jed praised Kyle a fukk ton during the whole interview so I believe him in this one.

Also, the dude asking about him putting money on a political campaign and then asking if uncle Eddie was going to be in Vegas had me :pachaha:
