I remember me and you having a disagreement on dude and you were right
so yeah
For what it's worth his hands have gotten better since Ohio State, still bad, but better than they were. If we did this for run stoutness I get it because he's strong and tries hard, but if they did this to generate pressure? I'd be much happier if they traded for Hunter from the Vikings
Wilks will need to start calling stunts to force our defensive lineman to get lateral and attack a quarter shoulder. He's been too trusting with them being able to beat lineman on their own and the FO just gave him an end who's ability to rush is pretty overrated......if that report where Kyle forced Wilks to run a wide 9 is true I hope this bye will be to allow him to re-tool it to generate more 4 man pressure without blitzing. The actual answer is moving Bosa inside for the year, but I don't think they'll do it. He'd match up better against a guard the way he's playing right now and his height could cause a problem across the middle for QBs trying to throw over him.
Tell me what you've seen breh.
I haven't really paid much attention to him for real. I have no opinion of him overall but I don't think it's a bad pickup.
When he was at Ohio State he had some of the worst hands I've ever seen on a defensive lineman. If he couldn't beat someone immediately off the first step or two he was caught. He could do that against the Indiana's of the world, but the first time I noticed it was when I watched him play a game against Michigan who has some lineman who know how to pass set.....and after that it was a tackle on Wisconsin that treated him the same way Michigan did. They would just get in his way and he'd just drive his feet while staying engaged.....and they had a bowl game after that where I saw the same thing and it sealed it for me. He only knows how to play big and strong.
An NFL level lineman ain't gonna have an issue with someone just relying on the first step and being strong unless it's Von or Thibodeaux level with the step or Aaron Donald level with the strength.
