I meant if it's his first time as a DC in the booth. Because if he's always worked in the booth (like Fangio), I don't imagine him know what the fukk to do in the sideline...

I don't know if he knows how to act on the sideline or not but there's something to be said about coming off the field and getting direct coaching instead of relaying messages. Like "ay, coach said you playing like trash breh, tighten up" instead of coach gathering the team up and showing them in real time what he sees and holding folks accountable in real time.

No, I'm asking if Wilks has always worked in the booth. Some DCs work that way and they work fine. shyt, it looked like it was fine for the Niners after the first 5 weeks.

If our players require/need to be yelled at every time the opponent has an easy drive then I don't know why the fukk we hired Wilks in the first place then.

We get what we get at this point due to teams taking our D Coordinators. Like I said we got lucky w/ Demeco, but it’s apparent Wilks ain’t it. We were getting by off pure talent.

Indictment it may be, but... lowkey, the defense needs a parental figure out there ready to shake a finger at a fukk-up. And Wilks is up in the booth and they all latchkey kids fukking up with no one to call them on it at this point

If this is the case then just fire Wilks and get someone that knows how to be more like Saleh/DeMeco. It shows really bad knowledge from our management if they didn't see this coming to be honest.

Because Demeco left and this team has a fukking terrible tendency to be insular and 'look at what we already have' instead of going out and finding the right thing.

Wilks' strength was the secondary. And they're the weakest goddamned unit on the defense and consistently have been. Hell, all I hear the team players talk about are Kocurek. Why? Because he has energy and is down there. That doesn't speak well to Wilks' motivational skills. The DC on this team HAS to be an energy guy, because Kyle very much is not.
