New Toronto 1 is better than the second one in my opinion

The first one had way more bangers & the production was better & more diverse. The only beat that's caught my attention so far on here & stood out is on Drive You Crazy. Everything else sounds like generic mid teir trap beats, even for Play Picasso. He can do way better, I've heard it with my own two ears. Lost Cause had BANGERS production wise. Theres no "OtherSide" on here. No anthem with ridiculous, innovative bass lines, which is what I'm accustomed to from Tory x Play. :feedme:

When have you heard a beat sound like "Grandmas Crib" or "The Godfather?" They had trap elements, but were FAR from generic. Even the album had the intro & To D.R.E.A.M., which were standouts, in my opinion. This tape is already starting to sound bland & repetitive...

:jbhmm:I've just skimmed through part 2 & got it going in the car right now, but what stands out, is that there's a LOT more singing on Pt 2. Also, Tory seems to recycle bars / metaphors / themes a lot.

There's a few lines on Drive You Crazy (doors up/flawless/gorgeous/Forbes list) that I specifically remember him using in almost the exact same succession, as on Ric Flair, from a couple years back.

Few songs later, bars about hoppin out a i8/my plate, etc. More specific bars I remember from the first New Toronto tape. I fukks wit some of this tape, but it doesn't seem like a progression from the first tape, maybe just leftovers from the first one mixed with a few new tracks. He don't really be saying shyt when he sings either, so most of the tracks sound similar in theme.

I'm a fan, but he should either learn to cut his projects down to the standout tracks, or mix it up a little better. Lost Cause had a much better balance & most songs he was actually spitting about something more than superficial shyt. :patrice:

Nah not really, them shyts don't move me. They're actually a step down from what I'm used to hearing from Tory & Play, to each his own though

I respect the analysis because u actually know what u talking about and aren't a bitter Drake fan just here to troll:myman:
But im gonna have to disagree, this is way better than the 1st one and has way more bangers, the first 3 songs alone BANG. Especially Dopeman Go:wow:

I feel like the reason the subject matter isn't as diverse is because he just released an album with that type of stuff, now that he has the ability to release albums he can save the personal stuff for those as opposed to when he released the prior mixtapes and was still trying to establish himself so he threw all his eggs in that basket. Just a guess.
