People tend to get hated on more by their own city when they get famous/money than they are outside of the city. There's always going to be people either jealous of your grind, envious of your spot, and still trying to "lil bro" you because they remember when you was a nobody in the city. I assumed he was referring to November-December 2014 because he said the project was "nearly finished" when he came into the picture. It came out February 2015. Nothing was the same came out September 2013. I doubt he would have started a new project let alone be "nearly finished" a new project just 4-5 months after (January-March 2014). Especially considering he was on tour. Like I pointed out in another post, Quentin Miller was rapping from the perspective of Drake on those reference tracks. He mentions OB, Reps Up, Calabasas, etc on multiple tracks, no way he was talking about himself.Winter of 2014 is January-March
I don't know why these dudes in here keep insisting some no-name wack rapper named Jimmy came up with the term despite the lack of proof, and despite the fact Drake didn't start saying the "6" shyt till after meeting Quentin Miller. The Jimmy songs mentioning the 6 didn't come out until AFTER Drake released 6 God (which came out before IYRTITL) .. What I said was they are two....different....cities...municipalities. With two different police forces and two different mayors. I also said "I get it". It's the Atlanta Metropolitan Area and y'all consider everything "the A". Good for y'all..
