That sounds like one of those Caribbean churches. They have those here in NYC, too. All the music is Christian-themed dancehall or soca.

It is a Carribean church, indeed.



But no, the music is not "dance hall" or "soca". That's not church music. Church music for black Carribeans is soul music like Amazing Grace (obvious influences from the USA; When? How? I cannot say). I suppose Jamaicans might do dance hall but I don't think so. The people you see in OP's photos are Black english-speaking Carribean.



Just in the big cities and when they congregate. Usually they're like 8% of the city population..

They do have soca & dancehall sounding songs also, especially them PlentyCostal$...Pentecostals
