He himself is great in all his roles but the movies themselves have all been subpar

It's not a knock on him at all

Nah son, can't fukk with this at all.

Inglourious Basterds, Hunger, Shame, 12 Years A Slave, Fish Tank, MacBeth and Frank are all good movies. Dude is a bit hit & miss but he has more than enough hits to say his filmography is at the least solid.

Was going to come here and mention this, 1st saw him in inglorious and Eden lake thoroughly blown away by both performances. So much so I was thinking he was going to be a Hollywood legend.

He carried that into first class then (sans 12 years/DOFP) his choices have been :patrice: dangerous method, haywire, Frank, slow west, counsellor, Steve jobs Macbeth, light between oceans and AC looks like shyt too. Dude had all the momentum and has squandered it something serious. Also needs to cut ties with X-Men it's toxic now

Between the Star Wars prequels and the million films he has been in, Samuel L Jackson has to be in the conversation right? He's been in so many flicks, he's bound to have a ton of clunkers.

:mjlol:
I recall reading an interview where he said he has an addictive personality so instead of doing drugs like he used to, he just does movies now.

I don't consider him top level but many do...Clooney makes one hot movie every 5 year average. Absolute trash record
Nah, Clooney's record is as good or better than every single person mentioned in this thread if you're talking about actual quality movies.

I can't even think of a "Bad" clooney movie outside of "Batman and Robin", which was campy on purpose but just a bad movie

The other purposefully "campy/farcical" joints he's done are pretty good(IMO) like Oh Brother, Leatherheads, Men who stare at .Goats, Tomorrowland, Burn after reading, etc. I enjoy him doing the silly with a straight face thing.

Plus he's great with the straight Drama, or Smooth leading man joints too. He has a pretty consistently good to great filmography.
