Nic Cage like Johnny Depp has some talent but always been overrated. He is mostly lucky he was born into a fam who has pull in Hollywood.

Val Kilmer is a great actor.. his performance as Doc Holiday is easily one of the best performances of the 90's . He's supposedly difficult to work with and he's suffered because of it. factor in the roles he took on in the mid to late 90's and 00's. were hit or miss. The Salton Sea is underrated as hell tho...

I already said in the Westworld thread that I consider Michael Caine to be the best case of this (mostly because he has starred in some truly, truly abominable trash for cash).

Also, I like to add as a contender Michael Keaton. His entire filmography from Batman Returns up until like two years ago is a giant gap of awfulness that just so happens to have Jackie Brown right in the middle of it.

Although technically my first pick should be Eric Roberts, who stars (often just cameos) in so much bullshyt DTV trash that most people probably don't even know how fukking great he is.

LOl Halle can/could act. Losing Isaiah, Jungle Fever, she was great in Strictly Business even though her role wasn't much...Things We Lost in the Fire. I never saw Monster's Ball...but that's about all of her great performances
