But let's not pretended that the only reason Halle stunk up the joint is – ironically – the fact that she's 1/2 white and thus "more palatable".
Personally, I'd only be okay with Gugu being Storm if the relationship between Storm and BP ended up going south ASAP and they just decided to be friends. Because I'd like for the love interest of the main character of an all black country to be a
full black woman. And Lupita's Nakia more than fills that role...I loved her.
If the opposite happens, I'll still support the movie, after all Gugu is half black as you said. But it's just gonna feel like a lesser movie to me.
