Not a defender in sight, broken form (look at this left hand), legs spread too far apart, sloppy handle, and no explosive first step.
There was nothing to suggest VC could be an elite scorer as a sixth man at NC either but it happened. Anyway I aint saying Barnes is a sure thing but I see what the Raps are seeing. Would I have made the same decision? Probably not but I’m not outraged either.
Makes no sense.

I went back and watched a bunch of other highlight reels and clips vs teams too
I don't see the athleticism everyone keeps trying to rave about
His passing is alright but all this point guard talk I'm seeing is looking like a ridiculous reach
He borderline doesn't have an offensive game . Handle isn't anything noteworthy. Saw him struggle finishing around the rim when there's any sort of contested shot.. Didn't see much if any crazy athletic dunks, can't shoot. Form looks broken. He's clearly a 4 to me. I don't think you can play him on the perimeter offensively at all right now
He's gonna need to pretty quickly be one of the best defenders in the league for this to not look real bad pretty fast imo.
He's not at all a shot blocker or rebounder either.
I actually feel worse about this pick after doing a quick lil deep dive

Raptor twitter has alot of haters tonight im not sure what you are reading....I cant stand the trust in masai lemmings.
I didn’t say I was excited fam. I just see that if Barnes can put it all together he can be a high impact player. Does he have superstar potential? I don’t know. Star potential maybe if all the stars align. I have to believe the Raptors likes his vision, athleticism, length and motor.
But I ain’t gonna argue that he doesn’t project as a big scorer right now. He’s super raw on that end which u can look at as he’ll never develop or that if he does somehow develop that skill he can turn into an all nba guy.
Again I’m not in love with it but I guess the Raptors wanted a lower floor high ceiling physical marvel rather than the higher floor, good ceiling guy in Suggs.

So were just gonna a pure transition offensive team lol....I dont even understand what this FO is doing with the roster if this is true...
