As I said, people are prisoner of the moment. But that's not my personal take on it just because some irrational Bron stans come in claiming shyt. I'm not a huge stan of either player, just seeing it like it is.

I don't like to play hypotheticals but even if I entertained your scenario, I'd say that yes I think the same odds would face prime MJ and Kobe. The 2007 supporting cast is so garbage they have no chance. The 2014 Spurs team were damn near unstoppable especially in the playoffs. Kobe having a flabby Wade and inconsistent Bosh as damn near role players on the team wouldn't help his cause at all.

But we will never know these things so no point guessing.

If you think Kobe is better, that's cool, because it is not ridiculous to think that. Kobe one of the GOATs. Anyway I totally respect your angle!

You seem like cool peoples, salute for bein able to carry on a civil debate fam .. A rarity amongst this forum .. Jus gota disagree wit u greatly bout Jordan or Kobe only bein favored 2 outa 7 times.... Like u said tho, hypotheticals don't really get you anywhere, so we can leave it at that

:salute:

It was posters like you who had all those threads on Page 1. Lebron is so far ahead of Kobe as a basketball player its laughable.

So what is Lebron better in terms of? Winning? Nope.. Shooting? Nope... Post game? Nope.. Mid-range? Nope.. Three point range? Nope.. Free throws? Nope.. Handles? Nope.. Footwork? Nope.. Doing more with less? Nope..

Literally, the only thing Lebron has on Kobe is physical ability and athleticism .. Everything from basketball iq, fundamentals, skill, being a winner.. All goes to Kobe, hands down .... It's funny that I even have to defend this, and if steph doesn't choke and Lebron loses, I guarantee you we wouldn't even be havin this discussion right now..

How about actual stats.....Rebounding? Yup. Assists? Yup. Field Goal %? Yup. 3 point %? Yup. Steals? Yup. Blocks? Yup.

And don't get me started on basketball IQ because if Kobe were as cerebral of a player as his stans claim he is then he wouldn't be the first player we all think of when it comes to the contested midrange jumper. You bring up Kobe's midrange like 2 points aint 2 points. I'll take 50% from 2 point range over 45% any day especially considering Lebron has always finished at the rim more effectively than Kobe his entire career. More fouls are drawn around the basket anyway.

Being a winner? Lebron is the definition of it. More Finals MVPs than Kobe against greater competition.

More with less? Who was the one demanding a trade to Chicago in 07 meanwhile the Cavs were in the Finals with one of the worst rosters to make it?

Lastly you bring up an if "but but but if Steph didn't choke" like I can't run through some of Kobe's Finals luck

"If Courtney Lee could just make a layup in 09"
"If Pau didn't show up"
"If Bynum didn't anchor the defense"
"If Kendrick Perkins didn't get injured for a Game 7"
"If Ron Artest didn't hit a prayer we'd talk about 6-24 more than we do"

Lebron is the better player and his imprint on the game will be remembered more than Kobe's by the time its all said and done.
