I got a few questions for y'all that I'm curious about

1. Kareem has already guaranteed a higher finish than Magic Johnson. Now those are the two highest ranked Lakers to ever play. The question is: who's the better Laker?
2. Why have the likes of Magic and Shaq called Kobe the greatest Laker ever? Is that true? Is it a case of being humble?

How easy/hard is it to rank the Laker greats?

1) Kareem is the better Laker imo, but you could argue either way on what you consider a great laker. Is it the best player who happened to play for the lakers? Or the player who performed the best as a Laker? or the person who was the most loyal player for the Lakers? Its open for discussion

2) They're just saying it cause Kobe was retiring and they wanna be nice and commend him for his career. yea being humble basically

I'm talking strictly as their Laker careers, which is why someone like Wilt is further away from this conversation considering his days with the Warriors and Sixers too. Same with Kareem and the Bucks, we'll want to disregard that.

I think 9/10 people would accept KAJ is the better overall player, but that factors in his Bucks years as well. But is KAJ Lakers career enough to propel him over Magic? That's the question.

yea but KAJ spent the majority of his career as a laker anyways, and he played for a long ass time and during that time he was consistently scoring and dominant. pretty much unstoppable even if you ignore his time with the Bucks

yeah I agree with you. Was just clarifying your question. I think KAJ did enough with the Lakers to be the GOAT of that franchise as well as the Bucks

Kinda like Kobe is a wannabe MJ, right?

But you know what's the best part?

Kobe couldn't overtake his predecessor. LeBron already has, and his career isn't over yet.

:usure:Kobe's predecessor was the GOAT tho, and Kobe fans don't claim he's better than MJ cause we ain't dikkriders like you LeBron stans who claim he's better than Magic and on par wit MJ. LeBron hasn't overtakin his predecessor but Kobe better than Magic even Magic himself says so.

:ufdup:And LeBron's career is gonna get worse not better cause he bout to decline and lose athleticism which is 90% of his game, that along wit his below .500 Finals record likely droppin lower once the Warrior superteam gives him that work and its all downhill from here.:umad:

Lol And exactly what is goin to negate da accomplishments dat have happened thus far?
:jbhmm:Accomplishments like gettin swept in the Finals pullin disappearin acts in each 4th Quarter of an entire Finals series and havin a losin record in the Finals? Nothin can negate that which is why its hilarious watchin you Bron stans scramble to overhype this 1 victory that came wit help from the league.:mjlol:

Why have the likes of Magic and Shaq called Kobe the greatest Laker ever? Is that true? Is it a case of being humble?
Its true but of course yall Kobe haters/LeBron stans are gonna spin it and claim he just bein humble.:francis:

They're just saying it cause Kobe was retiring and they wanna be nice and commend him for his career. yea being humble basically
:childplease:Wrong Magic has been sayin that for years he acknowledges Kobe's greatness even MJ does he says Kobe > LeBron and is the closest thing to himself.:mjpls:
