Had to put my favorite comedy, sports flick and horror film on this list. Was never a huge star wars fan but I can understand why empire should be on the top ten. I preferred the hard core action flicks of the 80s which are still the best ever made. For me they trump empire, raiders and others...Major League is my favorite sports film and a great comedy that doesn't seem to get enough love. Dramas of the 80s weren't as prominent but I thought Platoon was the best... The 80s delivered maybe the highest quality of entertainment in movie history. So many flicks deserve a top ten it's very hard.

Then you have cool ass horror films like, Gremlins, The Lost Boys, the Hitcher, NOES, The Fly

Airplane, The Naked Gun, Vacation, I'm Gonna git You Sucka, etc

Robocop, Lethal Weapon, Commando, First Blood, Rocky 3,4, Red Dawn

So many dope movies.

Funny thing about Big Trouble In Little China, is that I didn't like it until my 20s. As a kid, it really didn't stick. When I got big into going to the State Theater in Ann Arbor for throwback movies, that's when I saw it, and it stuck.
