Unless u mean should star wars be counted as an 80s film because it was still in theaters? I would say no. The film would have to drop in the 80s to be considered an 80s film.

shyt was different in the eighties.
especially in the early eighties.
all the good movies were still in the movies, like they were new premiere movies.

were you alive back then,.....or is this a list just to know what to look at.
or are you trying to get a feel for that time period.
like i was born in 76.
yet, saw star wars in the theatre and people still dressed up and all that shyt like it just dropped.
like before return came out, empire and star wars was still playing, AT THE MOVIES, breh.

that shyt was not on tv, then.

I get you breh, but for the sake of this, release dates is what we're looking for. I'm sure jaws and star wars and other flicks stayed in the theaters for years. I know batman was showing past 89, but that doesn't make it a 90s movie in my book. Release date is whats important

i would put thrash'n over gleam'n the cube.
altho, in gleam'n we were still hold'n on to the last bit of skating in that time period.

I was a just a toddler in the very early 80s, I know what u mean but like Mcfly stated, we are going by when the film was first released. And I am very well versed in 80s film, it's my favorite decade for film. First movie I remember was the elephant man, my parents took us for some unknown reason. We were crawling all over the theater I am told. First flick I truly remember the most was Aliens. I was 6.
